Programs are being continuously held in religious seminaries across Pakistan to encourage the growth of the Islamic banking system. As part of this initiative, an important session took place at Jamia-tul-Kauthar, Islamabad.
The event was graced by the special presence of Allama Dr. Shabbir Hassan Meesami, Chairman of Al-Sadiq Institute of Islamic Banking, Finance and Takaful Pakistan, member of the Shariah Advisory Committee of the State Bank of Pakistan, and Secretary-General of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan.
Other distinguished participants included Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Allama Sheikh Anwar Ali Najafi, Information Secretary of the Shia Ulema Council Mr. Zahid Ali Akhundzada, and Maulana Mazhar Abbas Zaidi, Coordinator of Al-Sadiq Institute, along with several other prominent guests.
Key figures associated with Islamic banking delivered detailed lectures to the attending students and provided briefings on the Islamic banking and finance system.
A large number of teachers and students from the Jamia were present at the conference. In the end, prizes were distributed among the honorable participants.
